Assunta Madre Restaurant

Located in the heart of Rome in Via Giulia, 14

Situated in the well-known Via Giulia, designed by the famous Renaissance architect Bramante, and next to Piazza Farnese and Campo de' Fiori, this restaurant is a must if you want to eat high-quality seafood. At the entrance, you will see the catch-of-the-day coming from the Tyrrhenian Sea: lobsters, prawns, sea-bass, tuna and so much more.
Whatever you order, you will be extremely satisfied, as both the raw and cooked fish is delicious. Some of my favorite courses are the Tartufi di Mare (seafood truffles) as an appetizer and the Vermicelli all'aragosta (pasta with crayfish) as a starter. The main courses are also exquisite with pesce al sale (oven-cooked fish in a sea-salt crust) being one of my favorite.
To have the perfect dinner, you need to be accompanied by the perfect wine: do not worry, Assunta Madre is prepared and has an extensive wine selection. The restaurant also has an outside garden, pleasant during the summer. I recommend you make a reservation before going, as it is a very trendy restaurant and it's always full of people. Enjoy!
