This hotel is situated in the heart of Rome's historic center, just a footstep away from the luxurious streets of Via Condotti and Via Frattina, where you will find Italian and international haute couture.

Le Garage Restaurant

Located in Via degli Stradivari, 6

Le Garage is a trendy restaurant situated on the fifth floor of a building that overlooks the Tevere and the neighborhoods of Testaccio and Trastevere. The restaurant is sophisticated and elegant, decorated in a New York style, with a modern decor, beautiful vast verandas and light parquet flooring.
In addition to the charming interior decor, the restaurant also has a lovely small inside terrace.
Of course, Le Garage's food is delicious: the menu offers a wide selection of Italian cuisine, from Roman dishes to traditional Italian dishes which have been revisited in a modern note. You will find both exquisite fresh seafood dishes as well as delicious meat. Additionally, there is also a vast choice of different raw seafood, from sea urchins to lobsters to seafood truffles. The menu also offers a great selection of different wines that are ideal to accompany your meal. I recommend trying the exquisite fettuccine with oranges and shrimp as well as the paccheri with scorfano, gallinela and cherry tomatoes. You should also try one of the restaurant's desserts to finish off your meal.
This restaurant is the ideal place for an elegant lunch or dinner with your friends or partner. I recommend you make a reservation before going. Enjoy!

Cooking For Art

Located in Via dei Monti della Farnesina, 77

Cooking For Art is an event that brings together the best chefs, products and hotels that represent high quality in Italy. After its great success in previous editions, this event, organized by Witaly and Luigi Cremona, will take place at Officine Farneto, where the greatest wineries and agri-foodstuffs will promote their products and culinary activities present in different territories in Italy.
But what is special about this year is the introduction of the Food Zone, a space where 11 different areas will be dedicated to 33 chefs, including starred chefs and young talents, a section where the public will have the opportunity to see the different stations and learn the chefs' recipes. Some of the chefs that will be present are Heinz Beck, Cristina Bowerman, Antohy Genovese, Giancarlo Perbellini, Francesco Apreda, Alba Estive Ruiz, Valeria Piccini, Igles Corelli, Marco Martini, Oliver Glowig and other pastry and ice-cream masters.
Additionally, the Street Food Area will focus on the best Italian "take-away" foods while the Mixology Area will have the best Roman bartenders. Of course, a Pizza station will be present where the Italian pizza masters such as Franco Pepe, Stefano Callegari and Roberto di Massa will show their skills.
At the end of the event on November 3rd, different awards will be given to the chefs including the Best Emerging Chef in Italy of 2014, and for the first time in Rome, the award of Best Emerging Pizza Chef in Italy of 2014. The Best Emerging Chef contest represents a landmark for young ambitious chefs that want to demonstrate their culinary talents to the judges, which include journalists and critics of the food sector as well as important chefs and curators of the main culinary guides. Manhattan Food Factory

Located in Via della Farnesina, 41

Situated a foot-step away from the famous nightlife area of Ponte Milvio, Manhattan Food Factory is a new restaurant which serves American cuisine cooked with Italian quality products.
The recipes are the typical American ones but the raw material is of great quality and taste. The mixture of the two creates delicious dishes which are served from breakfast to dinner.
My personal favorite is breakfast time with a choice of pancakes, muffins, chocolate chip cookies and croissants for "first breakfast" and a continuation of waffles, bagels, fruit salad, french toast and a choice of eggs for "late breakfast", all of these accompanied by freshly squeezed orange juice or American coffee. But do not despair if you don't have a sweet tooth, you will have a choice of bagels, burgers, club sandwiches, delicious salads and main courses such as BBQ ribs and fillet served with baked potato to order from for lunch and dinner. The dessert selection is also yummy with the typical NYC apple pie, homemade cheesecake, Madison square brownie and many more. Your meal can be accompanied by a small selection of white and red wines or delicious beers.
Apart from regular meal times you can also stop by for a delicious smoothie, milkshake or fresh juice and during the weekend for the typical American brunch!
The restaurant is small with a friendly atmosphere and an outside space as well. Enjoy!

Villa Aurelia

Located in Largo di Porta San Pancrazio, 1

On the top of the Gianicolo and along the Aurelian Walls lies the spectacular Villa Aurelia, built in the 17th Century for Cardinal Girolamo Farnese. The initial name given to the villa was Farnese, but due to the change in ownership the name altered to Giraud, Savorelli and Heyland, until Mrs. Heyland's will stated it should be given to the American Academy of Rome in 1909.
Villa Aurelia, which has been recently restored, is the perfect location to organize an event due to its beautiful gardens, breathtaking view of Rome and the many areas available. It is the ideal location to organize a wedding reception, dinner and many more events. The Villa doesn't have a contract with a catering agency so you can decide which spaces you want to use, the catering, the decoration and everything else. In 2012 even Masterchef Australia hosted its "Rome on a Plate" challenge in Villa Aurelia with Chef Massimo Bottura as a guest. Enjoy!

Cirque du Soleil - Quidam

Located in Piazzale Pier Luigi Nervi, 1

Cique du Soleil's fantastic show, Quidam, makes its first appearance in Italy on the stage of Palalottomatica, situated in the EUR neighborhood. Since its debut in 1984, Cirque du Soleil has not been the typical circus company, they have made it their mission to trigger the audiences' senses through acrobatic routines, dances, music, special effects and themes.
Their debuting show will be about a young girl, Zoe, trapped inside her boring world with parents who do not consider her. To escape from this reality, the protagonist dives into an imaginary world, Quidam, where she runs across different characters who persuade her to unleash her inner self.
Through different impressive acts such as aerial hoops, aerial contortion in silk, juggling and many more, Cirque du Soleil will deliver an unforgettable show to its audience. Enjoy!

From October 22 - October 26

Villa Farnesina

Located in Via della Lungara, 230

Built in the early sixteenth century and designed by Bramante's pupil, Baldassarre Peruzzi, this villa represents a masterpiece of Italian Renaissance. In 1511 Villa Farnesina was designed for Agostino Chigi, a wealthy Sienese banker, who had decided to build it for his lover.
The magnificent Villa is situated in the central neighborhood of Trastevere and consists of a central structure with a five archway loggia that unfolds into two sections that are laid out on six different floors. What is spectacular are the beautiful Italian gardens outside of the Villa which represent an almost natural continuation of the Villa.
Raphael's breathtaking frescos are painted on the walls of the loggia, depicting a beautiful mythological fresco of Cupid and Psyche. Moreover, you will find frescos of Sebastiano del Piompo, Giulio Romano, Giovanni Bazzi, Giovan Francesco Penni and Baldassarre Peruzzi. You will have the opportunity to visit the Loggia of Galatea, Loggia of Cupid and Psyche, Hall of Perspectives, Alexander and Roxane's room and the Room of the Frieze. Each room will astonish you and will show you the real meaning of Italian Renaissance.
Villa Farnesina takes its name from Cardinal Alessandro Farnese who bought the villa at the end of the 16th century. The Villa was left unfinished by Agostino Chigi and in the 17th century, Gaspard Dughet   concluded the decorations. Villa Farnesina is without a doubt a beautiful architectural and artistic masterpiece and should not be missed. Enjoy!

Osteria Le Mani in Pasta

Located in Via dei Genovesi, 37

Le Mani in Pasta is a delicious restaurant situated in the beautiful lively central neighborhood of Trastevere. It serves Roman cuisine as well as exquisite seafood, meat and pasta dishes that will not disappoint you. The dishes are of high quality and are extremely fresh, they make it their mission to order fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, home-made pasta, cheeses and fish every day.
The restaurant's menu varies from season to season and also day-by-day. But the great part is that all of the food is cooked in the open kitchen which can be viewed from your table, making your dining experience even more memorable. Additionally, the wine selection is also great, you should ask your waiter which wine goes best with your dish if you are uncertain.
For those of you who like to enjoy a cigarette while eating do not despair, as the restaurant is built on two floors and dedicates the bottom floor to smokers.
The atmosphere of Le Mani in Pasta is very casual as it is a typical Roman osteria. It's also perfect if you want to talk a walk in Trastevere after your meal. I recommend you make a reservation before going. Enjoy!

Haute Couture in Rome

Located in the historical center

Rome's historical center is full of spectacular streets where shopping is perfect. It all depends on the type of shopping you want to do. If you are looking for mainstream stores, then Via del Corso is the perfect place for you, but if you want to buy from the haute couture brands then Via dei Condotti, Via del Babuino and Piazza di Spagna are the best places for you.
In the famous Via dei Condotti, which joins Via del Corso with Piazza di Spagna, you will find luxury brands such as Valentino, Dior, Burberry, Salvatore Ferragamo, Luis Vuitton, La Perla, Dolce&Gabbana, BVLGARI and many more. This street is definitely the one with the highest concentration of luxury brands in Rome and it is always full of people.
Instead in one of the most famous squares in the world, Piazza di Spagna, you will find thousands of tourists admiring the beautiful Spanish Steps and shopping in the great stores of the area: Roberto Cavalli, D&G, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, Alviero Martini, Gucci, Ermenegildo Zegna and many more.
Lastly, in the beautiful Via del Babuino which joins Piazza del Popolo with Piazza di Spagna, you will find shops such as Prada, Chanel, Emporio Armani, Valentino, the famous Tiffany&Co and many more. Via del Babuino is the first street from the left from Piazza del Popolo and is definitely the most luxurious street of the Tridente. Additionally, some streets in the historical center, including Via del Babuino, have been closed to car traffic, allowing your shopping experience to be even better! Enjoy!

Euroma2 Shopping Mall

Located in Via Cristoforo Colombo, 710

Euroma2 is a shopping mall with 200 different stores located in the southern neighborhood of EUR, the most modern district of Rome.
Ever since it opened in 2008, this shopping center has been extremely popular and many Romans come here to shop for mainstream stores such as Pull&Bear, Bershka, Timberland, Adidas, Accessorize, Stradivarius, ZARA, Quicksilver as well as luxurious brands such as Prima Classe, Armani Jeans, Calvin Klein, Carla G, David Saddler and many more.
In addition, the recent opening of the beautiful Apple Store on the first floor has brought even more people to shop at Euroma2. As it can be imagined, because it is not a central shopping mall, it is mostly frequented by Romans. However, if you want to shop in chain stores which are not present in the center you might want to drop by. The shopping mall also has 30 cafes, a floor dedicated to food courts, a supermarket and a built in parking area which can hold up to 4000 cars that is free for the first 3 hours. Enjoy!

Via Cola di Rienzo

Located in the center in Via Cola di Rienzo

Situated in the beautiful neighborhood of Prati, Via Cola di Rienzo is one of the most famous Roman streets to shop. It is a long street that runs from Piazza del Popolo to Piazza Risorgimento and has many smaller parallel roads that are also great for non-mainstream shopping.
This street is the ideal location if you want to shop from chain stores as well as from less famous Italian and international stores, maybe to buy a pair of shoes! It is also perfect for a break due to the delicious gelaterie present in the street, the bars open for a coffee or aperitivo, and also the tasty restaurants. Via Cola di Rienzo is not too crowded and it is definitely the most Italian shopping street in the center, compared to Via del Corso which is full of international people and tourists. Of course, because it's situated in the center it will be hard to find a parking space. Enjoy!

The golf course is beautiful, with 18 + 9 holes with many greens that have water all around them and that are reachable through a small bridge. Olgiata Golf Club:

This country club is a magnificent golf club, characterized by all the trees surrounding the golf course as and most importantly by its narrow fairways. For these reasons, it is a very challenging golf course which has also hosted the Italian Open in 2002. Olgiata's club house is formal and beautiful, with great facilities to offer its members. Nonetheless, the golf course is flat and has similar holes.

The country club has a club house but it does not offer a lot of facilities. Because the golf course is not flat, I suggest you rent a golf cart.

Located in Via Nizza, 138

The 13th edition of the Photography International Festival will be hosted at MACRO, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome. This year the theme will be "PORTRAIT": photography is not only going to be a genre but a tool to analyze our contemporary society.
The portrait theme is going to be used to understand the historic path and role photography has played in contemporary art as well as in social fields such as philosophy, sociology and anthropology.

The major exhibition is going to be a collection of works composed by 200 authors who have been selected by international photographers, curators and museum directors that have collaborated in the previous editions. Enjoy!

Osteria Scaloni

Located in the central neighborhood of Prati in Via Carlo Mirabello 8a

Situated in a quiet parallel street of Viale Giuseppe Mazzini, Osteria Scaloni is a delicious place to have lunch or dinner. It is a small and intimate restaurant furnished with lovely wooden tables and chairs, and a cozy and pleasant atmosphere perfect for a dinner with your friends, colleagues or partner.
In addition to its delightful mood, Osteria Scaloni has something great to offer: exquisite Italian mediterranean cuisine, from delicious meat cuts to extremly fresh seafood. I recommend you try the devine battuto di patate e gamberoni or polpo verace caldo in salsa catalana, you will not be disappointed. There is also a wide selection of seafood dishes as well as traditional dishes such as pasta all'amatriciana that will make your mouth burst with flavors
To accompany your meal, there is a vast selection of superior wines as the Enoteca Scaloni (winebar) right next to the restaurant is managed by the same owners. The desserts are also extremely tasty and freshly made, from the tiramisu to the millefoglie. I recommend you make a reservation before going, enjoy!
