Open Museum - Open City

Located in MAXXI in Via Guido Reni, 4A

The event "Open Museum Open City" curated by Hou Hanru, will be hosted in the beautiful National Museum of Arts of the 21st Century designed by the famous Iraqi architect, Zaha Hadid.
It is an exhibition that will bring together the most revolutionary and contemporary way to express art, through sound.
The event will take place throughout the whole museum and will offer the possibility to rethink the relationship between art production, the involvement of architecture and the participation of the public. MAXXI's galleries will be filled in an intangible way, providing the opportunity to make a reflection on the urban transformation and on the sociocultural experiments of our modern Rome.
The museum will transform itself in an open-stage dialogue, with different voices proposing new social projects that will "empty the space" and fill it with sounds.
MAXXI will host different events involving music, dances, theater, cinema, narration, readings, poems and encounters with people. Enjoy!
